14 Days of Prayer and Fasting – July 1st to 14th, 2025

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people." Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)

Twice each year, Deliverance Church Uganda (DCU) enters into a sacred season of nationwide prayer and fasting, a time set apart to seek God’s face, renew our spiritual strength, and align ourselves with His will for the Church and the nation.

These seasons take place during:

  • January 2nd – 15th: To consecrate the start of the new year.
  • July 1st – 14th: To mark the beginning of the second half of the year with sensitivity and renewed focus.

These are not just routine observances they are divine appointments that have, over the years, led to answered prayers, revival, personal breakthroughs, and ministry direction.

Nature of the Prayer and Fasting Season

Fasting Format:
All individuals are encouraged to fast daily from the time of their last meal (usually dinner) until 6:00 PM. This allows for a deep personal devotion and reliance on God throughout the day.

Corporate Prayer:
During this period, all DCU local churches are expected to organize daily prayer gatherings, where members come together to pray, worship, and share in the Word. These sessions often conclude with a communal breaking of the fast in fellowship and unity.

Family and Personal Devotion:
Families and individuals are also encouraged to set aside time each day for personal or family altars—to pray, read the Word, and reflect.

This is more than a spiritual exercise, it is a nationwide movement of faith, repentance, intercession, and spiritual renewal. We have seen God answer in powerful ways over the years, and we believe He will do even more in this season.

Let us rise up together as individuals, families, and churches and prepare for what the Lord is about to do.
