14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

January 2 @ 6:00 am - January 15 @ 6:00 pm

14 Days of Prayer & Fasting – January 2–15, 2026

Theme: Keeping Jesus’ Agenda – “Do Business Till I Come” (Luke 19:13)

As we begin January 2026, Deliverance Church Uganda (DCU) enters a sacred season of prayer and fasting, calling every believer to renewed accountability, faithfulness, and stewardship before our Master, Jesus Christ.

In obedience to Jesus’ instruction in Luke 18:1, we choose to pray always and not lose heart, especially during this critical period in the life of our nation. Our theme, “Do Business Till I Come,” is drawn from the Parable of the Ten Minas (Luke 19:11–30), where a nobleman entrusted his servants with resources and expected faithful productivity while he was away.

In the same way, Christ has entrusted us with the Gospel, spiritual gifts, opportunities, and influence to steward faithfully while He sits at the right hand of the Father, awaiting His glorious return. As a Church, we deliberately reject the napkin of fear, complacency, and laziness, choosing instead to live productive, purposeful, and result-oriented lives that advance God’s Kingdom.

This prayer guide is designed to help us intentionally seek God’s involvement in the affairs of our nation—particularly during this season of heightened political activity. The Master’s mandate to “do business” becomes our rallying call for spiritual responsibility, community transformation, and Kingdom impact wherever God has positioned us in Uganda and beyond.

Throughout these 14 days, we will pray for:

  • A renewed spirit of faithfulness and accountability

  • Excellence in work and stewardship

  • Wisdom to maximize every God-given opportunity

  • Righteous leadership and peaceful processes in our nation

Prayer meetings will be held at every Deliverance Church Uganda local church, ensuring that the entire DCU family stands together in unified intercession, worship, and fasting.

Our collective goal is to be found as faithful stewards who have multiplied what was entrusted to them, advancing Jesus’ Kingdom agenda in every sphere of life—family, church, marketplace, governance, and society.

Let us move forward with renewed strength, clarity of purpose, and unwavering commitment, ensuring that Jesus’ agenda remains central until He comes again.
